Season One Television Council was launched in January 2018 as a spin-off of Chapter One Book Group.
The current schedule can be viewed below:
The Twilight Zone, Season 2
1960 - 1961
TV Selection #18
Following its explosively popular first season, The Twilight Zone returned with even more stories of science fiction, fantasy and supernatural suspense. Despite many changes from the first season, including the arrival of the now-iconic theme song and the beginning of creator Rod Serling’s famous onscreen appearances, the core of the series remained the same and the second season saw the arrival of some of the series’ most acclaimed episodes, including “Eye of the Beholder”, “Nick of Time”, “The Invaders”, “Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?” and “The Howling Man”. Beloved by fans both at the time of its release and today, the second season of The Twilight Zone won the series its second Hugo Award as well as the Emmy Award Outstanding Writing Achievement in Drama for Serling.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
1995 - 1996
TV Selection #19
Set 15 years after a worldwide cataclysm that has all but wiped out the human race, Neon Genesis Evangelion is set within the futuristic fortified city of Tokyo-3 and follows a young boy named Shinji. Recruited by his father to the shadowy organization Nerv, Shinji is tasked with piloting a giant bio-machine mecha called an Evangelion into combat with massive alien beings known as Angels that are determined to destroy the remnants of humanity. Following the emotional journeys of Shinji, as well as his fellow Evangelion pilots and other members of Nerv, Neon Genesis Evangelion is notable for featuring imagery derived from Kabbalah, Christianity and Judaism. Both acclaimed and controversial, Neon Genesis Evangelion’s experimental style has been praised by critics and the series has developed one of the most ardent fanbases in the history of anime.
