As political tensions between the factions of humanity rise, Miller, Holden and Avasarala realize Miller's case and the fate of the Canterbury are both part of a vast conspiracy that threatens humanity. Cheers ran for eleven seasons spanning over a decade, becoming one of the most acclaimed and beloved sitcoms of all time. It all began in 1982 with the show's first season, which would go on to win five Emmys and two Golden Globes. Based in the titular bar owned by retired athlete-turned-bartender Sam Malone (Ted Danson), Cheers follows Sam's interactions with waitresses Diane (Shelley Long) and Carla (Rhea Perlman), aged co-bartender Coach (Nicholas Colasanto) and regular patrons Norm (George Wendt) and Cliff (John Ratzenberger). Noted for its engaging storylines and likable characters, Cheers' first season garnered acclaim from critics and fans alike and established the show as one of the most iconic sitcoms of the 80's.
